This had to do with people who think using magick for hexing, cursing, binding, etc. is wrong for everyone. Some have opined to me recently, without really, actually thinking about what they believe or examining the opinions they hold in any depth.
You know what's wrong? Taking abuse from those who hurt you. Thinking that you can spend your whole life in the study and practice of Witchcraft, and not take responsibility for your own protection, advancement, and well being.
Would I like it if everything was light, live, and lollipops all day every day? Sometimes. But that's not the reality we live in. All this victim blaming bullshit of, "well, you wouldn't have to protect yourself if your vibration was higher" reeks of privelege. You don't know what challenges people face. You don't know what they've been through. You just want to sit on your tuffet and pass judgment on those who occasionally get their hands dirty and fight.
Did the child attract a pedophile with her vibration?
Did the rapist get off because he was a good person?
Is it the fault of the homeless veteran that he has no support for his PTSD?
There are problems in this universe that we will never solve. We may never eradicate the evils that people perpetrate on each other. Not everyone is going to awaken. Not everyone has a sense of empathy. There's always going to be injustice, and therefore there's always going to be a need to fight against it.
True. Some people are angry and looking for a fight. And they'll always have to fight because of it. That is hardly the same as fighting for a just cause.
So how to know when fighting is right? I go by my heart. I listen to that inner voice that tells me if my feelings are about whims of my ego, or about the Will of my higher self. I don't fly off half cocked. I take intentional action based off inner guidance that I've come to trust. Then, I get a second opinion with a reading. Even then, I still think carefully about how to proceed.
To train yourself or be trained in the use of your Will and not act when prompted by your higher self is a waste. You're throwing that gift back at the universe and saying "that's ok, I don't need it". Do this often enough and you'll lose your connection. Be grateful that you are given the honor of being a defender of justice and never doubt your inner guidance.
Ultimately, no one's opinion about what you should or should not do with your witchcraft skill matters. No amount of dire warnings, or redes, or creeds can compete with the inner prompting of the soul. You're the one you must live with. You have to look yourself in the mirror every day live with what you have done. The buck stops here.
